What (not) to watch before bedtime: Love on Netflix

Love is a new Netflix Original created by Judd Apatow, Lesley Arfin and Paul Rust. You are probably familiar with Judd Apatow’s work — at the very least Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Paul Rust you might remember from Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday … ?

I absolutely hated this show at first. I hated her, I hated him and I especially hated her cocaine-snorting ex-boyfriend. Then it was 3 a.m. and I was still watching the stupid thing! Similar to eating a giant bag of chocolate — I believe when it comes to Netflix series, you might as well just try to get it all over with in a day so that you can move on with your life!!

Huh, that’s kind of how I feel about romantic relationships too …

If your love life is anything like mine, or has ever been deeply imperfect in a different way, you might enjoy Love — as I did.

“Love follows nice guy Gus (Paul Rust) and brazen wild-child Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) as they navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, love and other things they were hoping to avoid.  Love is an unflinching, hilarious and excruciatingly honest take on modern relationships. Love is created, written and executive produced by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin.” – Netflix
