“Maybe an elite hacker, maybe just a guy who likes Night Court. NightDive Studios moderator. Dan O’Toole once gave me a shoutout on SportsCenter.“
That might be his Twitter bio but @JungleStrikeGuy is more than the sum of those words, he is a super dope amazing human! For example, he is a fellow cats and cannabis enthusiast, a maker of amazing Volcano skins (see above) and an avid supporter of common sense when it comes to the regulation of The Devil’s Lettuce.
He one of my favourite people on the internet and he is literally one of the only people who makes cannabis politics palatable for me. How does he manage it you might ask, I don’t know but you can listen to his podcast on soundcloud at the following link or on YouTube below: https://soundcloud.com/user-840043661
I had the honour of interviewing @JungleStrikeGuy, check it out!
What advice would you give to your 19-year-old self?
Buy Amazon stock, see Supertroopers more than once in the theater, go on that trip to Jamaica. Also probably make sure to save your VCR tapes of Video on Trial and The Buzz.
What do you think would happen if a 90-year-old woman accidentally fed a pan of hash brownies to a pack of squirrels?
The squirrels would probably be very grateful, perhaps even make the woman a god in their squirrel-religions.
How do you feel about cats? And how many cats do you think are too many cats for one woman to own?
If cats understood computers they’d have built the singularity by now. You can never have too many cats, unless they start taking up floor space from your grow room.
How much coffee is too much coffee?
Probably when the barista notices if you’ve worn the same clothes two days in a row.
Anything you love watching on Netflix?
Under Arrest, which is To Serve and Protect condensed into 20 minute episodes, mostly for how polite the police are compared to their American cousins. I actually don’t watch that much on Netflix, but in other media I love comedy, especially anything Anthony Jeselnik or Daniel Tosh. And of course Twin Peaks, both old and new, just to keep life weird.
What helps you get in a creative mood?
90’s music, watching David Lynch as Gordon Cole eat a donut for a minute straight, and conversing with Weird Twitter.
What do you think is the most valuable way to spend your time?
Trying something at least once a month you’ve never done before is invaluable. Read things you disagree with, try and come up with logical arguments to support things you disagree with, the reason modern discourse is so polarized is that there’s very little desire for understanding. Even if you’re a serial entrepreneur, always buffer productivity with silliness and fun.
What’s next for you?
Hitting up the rest of the canna-conventions this year. Continuing to fight for evidence based drug policy in my capacity as a Twitter ne’er-do-well. Lots of miscellaneous computer things and hopefully learning how to not take 3 hours to edit a 20 minute podcast!
All worthy pursuits! Stay dope @JungleStrikeGuy — thanks so much for your time and for being you!
